Monday takes us back to Maine, the state that seems to always have something going with regard to marriage equality these days. Today the US supreme court today declined to hear an appeal by the National Organisation for Marriage to protect the names of the donors who gave money in the campaign to support marriage inequality in Maine back in 2009.
Reading the case it’s quite clear that they didn’t have a leg to stand on, yet the case has made it all the way to the top. I am pleased that the court declined to hear the case. Lets hope that when the folks in Maine get to vote on the issue once again in November that they vote in favour of equality once more.
