I often get asked what is happening with all the bills and appeals that seem to be going on with regard to marriage in the United States. It all seems very complicated is the main thing I hear. It makes me smile a little because as a Brit I generally have less of a clue than most Americans that I meet. Today I was pleased to see that those lovely people at the Advocate have put together a handy little guide to what is currently going on.
It makes for interesting reading. It’s also a scary read and an example of the kinds of knots that exist when people get to vote on other people’s rights. It shows just how difficult it can be to untangle the mess that hate and bigotry makes.
