Oh dear. It’s back to Clint Eastwood once more. You’ll recall that he was the surprise speaker a few weeks back at the Republican conference where he put us all through that rambling monologue with a chair that had an imaginary version of President Obama in it.
Well, now he appeared on the Ellen show to explain himself and rightly he was asked about his views on marriage and why he was supporting a party that vows to discriminate against marriage. Among the many things he talks about he says that we need less governemnt in our lives.
It’s this bit that always gets me. If the Republicans want less government in our lives, then why are they the ones who want to pass more laws prohibiting equality? Can someone explain that bit please?
