Greetings Blogpickers! I hope all are fine and dandy! Today the supreme court declined to hear a case that centered around discrimination and federal funding.
You’ll read all about it in the link today. It’s interesting because it revolves around religion and, amongst other things, same-sex relationships. The ruling is pretty clear in that it says you can do what you want to but don’t expect the government to support you financially if you discriminate against others. I wonder what sort of precedent this will set? I am especially curious as to what the outcome would have been if the only thing that the organisation were discriminating on were sexuality.
